Mexico’s leading hotel operator is committed to social and environmental causes.
Posadas introduced “Viaja con Sentido”, an initiative with the mission of contributing to the conservation of natural resources and biodiversity, social wellness, and economic growth by promoting the development of the communities where we have properties, laying the foundation for an integral strategy aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

This is why we are proud to introduce our ‘Viaja con Sentido’ program. We know that it might only be a grain of sand among all the work that must be done, but we are certain that these actions contribute to giving back some of what this planet, hour home, gives us”, stated José Carlos Azcárraga, CEO of Grupo Posadas.
Our commitment can be seen through the actions we boost through Fundación Posadas in different fields. An example is the UN Spotlight initiative, which we joined by giving free accommodation to women survivors of domestic violence and their children.
Thanks to our efforts for the conservation through “Viaja con Sentido”, the NGO Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), awarded Posadas with 150 Green Key labels to hotels of all the brands of our Group. Green Key is an internationally renowned accolade that rewards tourist facilities that incorporate sustainable practices.
The presentation was honored by the presence of Miguel Torruco Marqués, Mexico’s Secretary of Tourism; José Carlos Azcárraga, CEO of Grupo Posadas; Enrique Calderón, Vice President of Hotel Operations of Posadas, along with other important personalities.
